Final Project assessment!!

Your blog must have the following items:

  • Title
  • Name of the creators.
  • Original content,
  • Synthesis or Summary of information searched on Internet.
  • Creativity.
  • Use of capital letters, right spelling, respect word order and punctuation.
  • It has to be clearly related with what you have learned and justified.
  • The use of pictures, videos and others are for enhancing the content.
  • Do no use copy-paste information unless it clearly justifies and don´t use translator because I can tell.

Final Project: Creating a blog for Workshop III

Problem:

What would you do if you faculty advisor asks you to show what you have learned in English this semester in a blog and later explain it to your classmates in very interactive way?


This is an easy and rather weird question. You have this awkward problem and you need to solve this before the semester ends. You have to get a good solution for this question.

What would you do to design a good blog? Do you know how to make a blog? What topics related to the content learned throughout the semester would you include? Would you add music, videos, pictures, calendar, watch, etc? Would you use an original template?

There are some steps you´ll have to carry on to get to a good solution. In the first place: Get a partner. Then, read the instructions carefully. After that, get to work.

There are four main steps to start making up your mind before you present it to the class.

  • Identify the problem: What the problem is? What you know and don´t know about the problem.
  • Investigate: You have to learn what you don´t know to solve this. Agree with your partner how to give a good solution to this problem. (July 21st) ( At the end of the class you have to provide a short oral report of your decisions).
  • Solve the problem. With your partner decide how to answer the question. ( July 28th and 31st)
  • Present the results to the class. (August 4th)

Cont... Project 2 : Written paper details.

After you finish your presentation you have to write a paper. It can be sent by mail or published on the blog on June 12th.

The paper should have an introduction, development and conclusions. ( Not more than one page)

Name and Rol N°

Introduction: Objective of this paper and reasons for writing it.

Development: Give a context to your paper: the problems you are facing every day in your like as neighbors. What´s going on with city problems in daily life? How are the people in charge solving them? How do we behave with the problems? Are we somehow responsible? Do some of them have a solution? Why did you choose these problems? Are the solutions possible ?

Conclusions: Is this topic something necessary to talk about? Is it important for you to reflect and think about the problems and solution in the place where you live? Are you an active member or your community or just an spectator? What have you learned from this activity?

What kind of problems are there in your neighboorhood?

The 2nd activity for this course is :

1st Watch the place where you live. Brainstorm the problems you face everyday in your neighborhood. Use there is, there are, not enough as it is in Unit 2 of Interchange.
List them and post them in this blog. Deadline June 4th

2nd Think about possible solutions. (Look for the vocabulary you need.) Deadline June 4th

3rd Write a report about your findings, and hand it in on June 12st. The report should include:

  • an introduction explaining the purpose of the report,
  • a development listing the different problem in you neighborhood and the two main problem with the possible solution,
  • the conclusions: explaining why this work is important for you and why you chose these problems and solutions, and finally what have you learned doing this project.

4rd Choose two problems with their solutions and give a talk about them to the class on June 5th .
Or: you can choose another place with similar problems and explain how they were solved.
You can only use pictures for your talk. (You can display on Facebook or any other.)

A Time to Remember!!!

Hi everyone: This week we will be dealing with our best childhood or high school memories.!!
Remember to post a brief description about yourself following the ideas you talked about in class.

Write a pragraph about things you used to do as a child. Use the ideas we talked about in class and follow this model.

When I was four years old, my family moved to Australia. We had an old two-story house and a big yard. My older brother and I used to play lots of games together. In the summer, my favorite outdoor game was soccer.
